Scholarships for Risk Masters at Durham University

Institute of Hazard, Risk and Resilience (IHRR) in conjunction with Collingwood College, Durham University is offering ONE international and FOUR  tuition fee scholarships to pursue Masters degree in Risk and Hazards. The interested candidates who are planning to study in 2014 can apply in one of the courses below.

•  MSc in Risk and Environmental Hazard
•  MA in Risk and Security
• MA in Risk, Health and Public Policy 

Scholarship Details:

One International Scholarship which will provide:

1.   Full payment of tuition fees
2.  Full payment of accommodation charges along with a termly stipend amount up to a total value of £11,157.00
3. One return flight to the UK up to the value of £950
4. An arrival allowance of £600
5. Membership of Collingwood Middle Common Room.

Applicants for this scholarship must be able to demonstrate that they intend to use the skills and knowledge gained for international and humanitarian purposes and will need to outline the ways in which they intend to do this in their scholarship application form.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Be classed as overseas for the purpose of tuition fees
2. Have made an academic application for a place on one of the eligible courses. Full details of the postgraduate academic application process can be found at www.durham.ac.uk/postgraduate/apply
3. Have completed and submitted a scholarship application form which clearly outlines the ways in which you intend to use the skills and knowledge gained for international and humanitarian purposes.

Both the academic and the scholarship application must have been completed and submitted by the application deadline date of 1^st June 2014.
